
Juan began his marketing career at Amoco Laser. He significantly contributed to the transformation of the company into AT&Telecom which was eventually absorbed by Cisco Systems. While at AT&T, he was hugely successful in bringing in substantial new corporate and government business.
At Nortel Networks he strategically positioned the company’s Optical Transport; this generated new client Ameritech. At Sycamore Networks, he was instrumental in developing new intelligent optical networking technology which transformed the marketplace and resulted in a $3 billion opportunity: Sycamore became one of the most successful IPOs in NASDAQ history.
Juan Cerda is highly experienced in developing business development plans and directing product development. He is a key player in acquisitions and mergers. Throughout his career, he has been known for his loyalty, commitment, and for consistently generating out-of-the-ordinary revenue growth.
Juan has an engineering degree from DeVRY Institute, and has formal training in marketing, management, finance, and new technologies.
